Over the years, the HCHD Foundation has proudly produced and sponsored these and other community events in support of specific Harris Health programs and services:

In addition, the HCHD Foundation received generous donations, both solicited and unsolicited, from individuals, including Harris Health employees, along with corporate partners and foundations. These funds support vital Harris Health programs, services and initiatives such as the first-floor renovation of the Ben Taub Hospital Ginni and Richard Mithoff (Level 1) Trauma Center, population health, HCHD Foundation’s Employee Disaster Relief Fund, community health outreach programs, adolescent and youth health outreach, Shattered Dreams, cancer care and transportation, the Community Farm at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, LBJ Hospital patient parking, Child Life’s Children of Adult Patients Enduring Stressors (CAPES) program, New Beginnings, mammography, Harris Health’s School of Diagnostic Medical Imaging, neonatal nursing and nursing leadership.
The Foundation also supports Harris Health events such as the Circle of Survival Trauma Conference, the INSPIRE Nursing Symposium and the Advanced Trauma Life Support® licensed vocational nurse and wound care professional conferences.
Since its inception, the HCHD Foundation has awarded
$49.7 million
in grants to Harris Health for programs and services and to other children-focused organizations in Harris County, including $2.29 million in fiscal year 2019.
